Clark Lake Park
Between SE 240th St. & SE 248th St. at 127th Ave. SE
130 acres
Amenities include: Fishing pier, public art, boardwalks, greenbelt, rough trails, parking. The park contains vast sections of sensitive wetlands and habitat. For this reason, and restrictions attached to grant funds enabling the City to purchase the parcels of land for the park, dogs are welcome to enjoy the park with their owners, but should not be permitted to roam off-leash or swim in the lake. For the past several years, students from Kent elementary schools have been planting native trees and shrubs at this park and one other as part of Plant the Planet, the Youth Tree Education Program, a partnership of the City of Kent and the Kent School District. To date, Kent children have planted over 20,000 native trees and shrubs at their homes or in Kent parks! In October 2010, for the 10th anniversary of the program, the City created a .4-mile Walk of Native Trees & Shrubs. Take the self-guided walk yourself: Walk of Native Trees at Clark Lake Park
